Get started with Ivy

No jargon: pick the guide that fits you, two minutes each, and off you go.

Start in 3 steps

  1. Create your free account on ivytech-ai.com (with Google or your email).
  2. Install Ivy on your Windows PC: the download appears in your dashboard at launch.
  3. Open Ivy and sign in with the same account: your plan activates by itself.

Free: your Google Gemini key (free, 1 minute)

  1. In Ivy, click “Get your free Gemini key” (or open aistudio.google.com/apikey).
  2. Sign in with your Google account, then click “Create API key”.
  3. Copy the key (it starts with AIza…).
  4. Go back to Ivy and click “📋 Paste my key & activate”. Done.
Your key stays encrypted on your PC and is never sent to us. Don't share it with anyone.

Option: Sunee with your OpenAI key

  1. Open platform.openai.com and sign in.
  2. Add a small credit (Billing) and set a spending limit.
  3. In “API keys”, click “Create new secret key” and copy the key (sk-…).
  4. In Ivy: Settings › Keys › OpenAI, paste the key.
OpenAI bills you directly for your usage. Ivy only calls Sunee for the tasks she does best.

Studio: link YouTube, TikTok, Instagram, Facebook, X, LinkedIn, Pinterest, Threads, Bluesky, Mastodon, Telegram (Pro plan)

  1. In Ivy, open Studio › PUBLISH tab.
  2. Click “Link” next to the network you want.
  3. The network's official page opens: sign in yourself and accept.
  4. Back in Ivy, the account shows as “linked”. You can unlink it at any time.
Ivy never sees your password: you sign in on the network’s own official page. For X, LinkedIn, Pinterest and Threads, the return page says “account authorised” and Ivy links itself. Every post is shown to you before it goes out.

Trading: link MetaTrader 5 (Pro plan)

  1. Install MetaTrader 5 from your broker's website and open an account (a demo account is recommended to start).
  2. In MetaTrader, turn on the “Algo Trading” button: it must be green.
  3. In Ivy: Markets › ⚙ Desk settings › MetaTrader 5 account: enter the account login, password and server.
  4. Choose demo or real mode: Ivy always shows which one is active.
Your credentials stay encrypted on your PC. Trading carries a risk of loss: no gains are promised.

Net worth: link a wallet (Phantom, MetaMask, Fomo, Hyperliquid)

  1. In the app where your wallet lives, copy your PUBLIC address (the one you give to receive: 0x… for MetaMask and Hyperliquid, the Solana address for Phantom and Fomo).
  2. In IVY, open the Wallet (◉ icon in the left bar), then “+ Connect a platform”.
  3. Pick the platform, click “Paste” (Ivy checks it really is a public address), give it a name, then “Add”.
  4. Even simpler: tell or write to Ivy “connect my Phantom” or “add my MetaMask 0x…” — she pre-fills everything, you confirm.
Never the seed phrase (12 or 24 words) nor the private key: Ivy doesn’t need them and refuses them. A linked wallet is read-only: Ivy sees the value, the positions and the result; nothing can leave it.

Binance: link your account (read-only key)

  1. On Binance: Profile › API Management › “Create API” (System generated). Give it a name, for example “IVY read”.
  2. Leave only “Enable Reading” ticked. NEVER tick “Enable Withdrawals”: Ivy would refuse the key.
  3. In IVY: Wallet › “+ Connect a platform” › Binance › “Open the Binance assistant”: paste the key and the secret in the page (never in the chat).
  4. Ivy checks the key with Binance, keeps it encrypted on your PC, and your Spot and Futures balances appear in your net worth.
Tip: restrict the key to your PC’s IP address (Ivy shows it to you). “Disconnect” erases the key from your PC. No order is placed on Binance without an explicit activation, and never a withdrawal.

Coinbase: link your account (read-only key)

  1. On Coinbase: Settings › API (Coinbase Developer Platform) › “Create API key” with the “View” permission only.
  2. In IVY: Fund › Wallets tab › “Follow a wallet” › Coinbase: paste the key name and the secret.
  3. Ivy checks that the key can neither trade nor withdraw, then reads your balances. A key that can trade is refused.
Your keys stay encrypted on your PC. Coinbase, like every wallet, is shown apart in your net worth and never enters the trading risk.

Smart home: lights, TV, Home Assistant

  1. In IVY: “Connections” button (left bar) › “Search for devices”: Ivy looks on your network for Hue bridges, WiZ bulbs, Shelly plugs, Samsung TVs, printers and Home Assistant.
  2. Click “Add” next to the device. Philips Hue bridge: press the round button on the bridge when Ivy asks. Samsung TV: accept the request on the TV screen.
  3. Home Assistant: create a long-lived access token in your Home Assistant profile and paste it in the Connections page (never in the chat).
  4. Then, by voice or in writing: “turn off the living room”, “turn on the TV”, “set the heating to 20”. Locks never open by voice.
Free: up to 3 lights or plugs. From Essential: the whole home. Pro: Ivy also looks at your cameras to tell you what she sees. Nothing is added without your action.

Talking to Ivy: what she understands

  1. Talk to her like a person: “Ivy, tidy my Desktop”, “sum up my emails”, “how much do I have in total across platforms”, “where to trade crypto”.
  2. To link something, just say it: “connect my Phantom”, “link TikTok”, “add my MetaMask 0x…” — she opens the right page, already filled in.
  3. Before any send or sensitive action, she asks for your permission: once, always, or no. You can interrupt her, she keeps the thread.
14 languages. Ivy never asks for a password, a private key or a seed phrase: if she does, it isn’t her.

Help on your PC: folders and apps

  1. Tell her where to work: “open my Invoices folder”, “sort the photos on the Desktop”. Ivy asks for access to that folder: allow once, always, or refuse.
  2. She can open your apps, read the screen and browse for you (Pro plan), always after your go-ahead — and never your system files or your keys.
  3. PC health: “is my PC running hot?”: temperatures, memory, disks, and a safe, reversible Boost button.
Everything Ivy does on your PC is visible in her log. You remove an access whenever you like: “Ivy, remove access to the Invoices folder”.

Your own agents

  1. In IVY: “Agents” button (left bar) › “Create with Ivy”.
  2. Give it a name, a badge, a mission and its limits: Ivy asks the useful questions and prepares the agent.
  3. It appears in the Nexus with its badge; you pause it, edit it or delete it whenever you like.
An agent can do nothing you couldn’t do yourself in IVY, and it follows the same permissions as the assistant.

Discord: Ivy on your server

  1. In IVY: Studio › Accounts › Discord › “Link”: Ivy gives you a code valid for 10 minutes.
  2. On your Discord server (as an administrator), type: /ivy-settings link: YOUR-CODE.
  3. Ivy then answers your members with your instructions; a public announcement only goes out after your approval, every time.
You choose the channels, the language and the ready-made answers from IVY. “Unlink” removes Ivy from the server.

Your external accounts, your rules

Keys and permissions for external services (Google, OpenAI, social networks, broker) stay in your name: you manage them and can revoke them whenever you like, on their side and in Ivy.

Need help?

Just ask Ivy, in writing or by voice: “how do I link TikTok?”. She'll guide you step by step. Otherwise, open a ticket: we reply by email.
